Dunmore, AB - The Prairie Rose School Division Board of Trustees is very pleased to announce that Brian Andjelic has been appointed as the Superintendent of Schools.
“The board felt that Brian Andjelic was the best fit for the role of superintendent,” says Board Chair Marian Peers. “Brian brings many years of experience and knowledge to the administrative team and we are confident he will continue to move Prairie Rose School Division in the right direction for students.”
Brian Andjelic’s background includes a Bachelor of Education at the University of Lethbridge and a Master’s in Education Administration and Leadership from San Diego State University. He is also very familiar with Prairie Rose policies and procedures, having served 34 years with the division. During that time he has worked as a teacher, a school administrator at both Irvine and Eagle Butte and as Assistant Superintendent and Deputy Superintendent in Division Office.
“I am very excited about my new role in Prairie Rose as Superintendent of Schools,” says Andjelic. “It is a very fascinating time to be working in the Education sector in Alberta. With the arrival of Inspiring Education, there are more opportunities for students than ever before. I am honored to be leading such a great team through this process.”
Brian Andjelic will begin the transition from his current role as Deputy Superintendent to Superintendent of Schools immediately with his first official date as Superintendent, August 1, 2013.
