Foremost Vice Principal Announcement
Superintendent Roger Clarke and Foremost Principal Simon Moreton would like to congratulate Dana Marshall who has accepted the position of Vice Principal at Foremost School.
Dana started her teaching career in 2005 in Taber before moving to Calgary and then Fort McMurray. In 2013 she moved back to Medicine Hat where she worked at Notre Dame Academy, Webster Niblock School and McCoy High School. In 2017 Marshall made the move to Foremost School where she currently serves as the department head of the Science Department. In addition to a Bachelor of Education, Dana also achieved her Masters of Education from the University of Alberta in 2011.
“Dana grew up in southeast Alberta and has strong ties to the area and community. In fact, she is a graduate of Eagle Butte High School,” says Superintendent Roger Clarke. “We are very excited to bring that experience and local context to our Foremost school leader team.”
Since coming to Foremost School, Dana has been active in supporting her school and student community. She helped to initiated the school’s robotics program, helped start and find funding for the school garden project, organized successful Science Fair exhibitions, worked collaboratively with the current school administration to build timetables, scheduling and school policy, and recently organized the tri-school building competition.
“I am very excited to be chosen to join our leadership team,” says Marshall. “Foremost is a strong community; one which has welcomed me with open arms over these past two years. I am excited to work with the Foremost student, staff, parents and community to continue our trend of excellence in academics, athletics and the arts.”
Dana Marshall will officially assume the role of vice- principal at the start of the 2019-20 school year.
